Sunday Lately, 110

February 5, 2017

Sunday Lately is a weekly link up brought to you by the Blogger Tribe. Link up and see what's been happening lately!

Sunday Lately is a weekly linkup hosted by the Blogger Tribe, which is fearlessly led by Katy (Wild and Wanderful) and myself. We e-hangout every Sunday, sharing a small glimpse into the past week of life in our own worlds. We’d love if you could join us!

This week’s themes: Procrastinating, Hiding, Imagining, Sharing, Praising.

Procrastinating

Ironically, I procrastinated writing this until Sunday morning (usually I’ll do it a day ahead so I can relax in the morning). So this will be short and sweet.

Hiding

I don’t think I’ve been needing to hide anything. I don’t live with anyone, so no presents have to be stashed under the bed or anything. I guess if anything, I’ve been shoving things in closets instead of cleaning and actually getting rid of things, so you could say I’ve been hiding clutter.

Imagining

Warmer days. It was bright and sunny yesterday and I felt so much better than I have in past gray days. Sadly, knowing Pittsburgh, there will be one 65 degree day at the end of February, a little in April, then nothing until late May. And the rest of the days will be cold.

I had to buy flowers the other day just to brighten things up.

Sharing

Yesterday, I shared an ice cream sandwich with two friends. We didn’t have a way to cut it and plastic utensils just didn’t cut it. So we passed it back and forth. (Anyone watch How I Met Your Mother? We passed it around like a sandwich.)

Praising

This wonderful community! I’m so thrilled that Katy asked me to be a part of the Sunday Lately leaders last year and it’s just exploded into this group of smart, driven, interesting women.

What have you been up to lately?

You’re hiding clutter while I’m hiding FROM the clutter! Clutter has taken over!

    • Angelica @GardeningInHighHeels

Hahaha clutter is going to dominate this world, mark my words!

How I met your Mother is one of two shows I could literally watch over and over. Pass the Sandwich my way!!!

    • Angelica @GardeningInHighHeels

It’s such a great show! There are a few that I cycle through when I have nothing else to watch and that’s always on my list. What’s your other show you could watch over and over?

I too have been wishing for warmer weather! I’m a Florida girl at heart but have been living in South Carolina. It was 32 yesterday which is far too cold for my liking!

It’s so great to be a part of this incredible community with you and Katey and all the wonderful blogging babes.

    • Angelica @GardeningInHighHeels

It’s been so nice to connect with you through this group! I need to swing over and catch up on what’s been going on in your world – 32 degrees not withstanding!

Here, here for the Blogger Tribe! I really like engaging with other bloggers. Taking the time to comment on other blogs has become something more fun to me, whereas in the past it felt kind of like a task. I’m invested in the bloggers I follow!

    • Angelica @GardeningInHighHeels

That’s wonderful to hear that you’re enjoying the Tribe, too. It is great to get into a rhythm with that (clearly I’ve fallen off my game, haha) but I also love connecting with the people I’ve come to know. Thanks for being a part of it!

I’m totally waiting on those warmer days. The weather is crazy here in Tennessee. Warm then freezing and back and forth. It’s really hard to figure out how to dress lol

    • Angelica @GardeningInHighHeels

Ugh, that’s the worst. And it’s hard for your body, too. You get sick so much faster and it sucks.

  • Katy McKinley

I think it’s supposed to be in the 60’s this week. And then two days later, back to 30. So you might get your wish!

    • Angelica @GardeningInHighHeels

The weather has been messing with me so badly. Pick one and stick with it!

I was definitely happy with this warmer weather. I’m finally able to run outside. I’m crossing my fingers that this weather repeats itself the next two weekends & possibly be sunny on May 7th for the Half Marathon in Pitt.

    • Angelica @GardeningInHighHeels

That’s awesome! It’s so much nicer to run outside. Is this your first half / first time doing the PGH Half? I’ve been lazy in signing up – I love that they changed the half route. It was getting really boring haha.

      • Ana Maria

It’s my first time doing the PGH Half. Last year was my first half marathon & I did the Ogden in Wheeling.

A nice relaxed week is what it sounds like. Ice cream. Yum. I would love some of that right now.

    • Angelica @GardeningInHighHeels

Relaxed indeed. Did you ever get your ice cream?
