Wear To Where: Festival

May 23, 2016

Today kicks off the first day of Wear to Where: Spring edition! We have a full week of spring outfits planned that have either been sewn or styled, depending on your talent level. I know my talent level with sewing my own fashions is still pretty low despite having the best of intentions and purchasing patterns from Patterns for Pirates and fabric to complete some tops. Maybe this year?

Anyway, we’re kicking off the tour with a festival look. Sarah looks gorgeous in her flowing (and oh-so-talentedly sewn) wrap and Jamie looks ready for a true festival.

Wear to Where: What to make or style to wear to a festival!

Me on the other hand. Well, I don’t do the boho thing. I’m pretty predictable. T-shirt, jeans, sneakers. Definitely not a festival look based on Wanderlust & Co.’s Instagram feed (which by the way, was how I figured I would get inspiration since I haven’t attended any festivals).

That proved false inspiration as I’m not wandering around in bralettes or high-waisted cut off shorts that resemble denim diapers more than they resemble clothing.

I threw some boho detailing into my outfit with sheer lace panels in the flowy top and flower embroidery. Plus a tangle of brightly colored seed necklaces and some braids and I’m good to go.

Check back during the rest of the week for other great looks from these fashionably talented ladies!

omg…this….”That proved false inspiration as I’m not wandering around in bralettes or high-waisted cut off shorts that resemble denim diapers more than they resemble clothing.” CAN’T STOP LAUGHING. I felt the same way when I was looking for inspiration for my look LOL. Your outfit turned out amazing!

Haha thank you! I’m glad you got a kick out of that part. I was laughing at myself when I was writing it. Your outfit is fantastic too! Very chic!

I love all the little boho details. And I think that purple looks amazing on you!

    • Angelica @GardeningInHighHeels

Thank you! Jewel tones and me just get along so well haha. I just wish that shirt wasn’t quite as short and then I’d wear it a little more often.

I can’t pull off the boho thing either, so don’t feel bad.
I love this look. Denim, details, lace…it all works!

    • Angelica @GardeningInHighHeels

As long as you have the little details, the outfit comes together. At least, that’s my saying. Thanks, ladybug!

  • Erin @ Teal and Polka Dots

I really like this look on you! The purple is so pretty. Boho’s not my thing either. I’m more of a structured look – preferably with a scarf and boots – kinda gal…not the most practical in Florida. 🙂

    • Angelica @GardeningInHighHeels

Thank you so very much! Yeah, that kind of attire isn’t the most comfortable in Florida, especially at this time. Hope you get a window of opportunity for your structured scarfy booty looks soon!
